West Sands Beach

West sands is really a nice place to go! I was worrying about the weather on the way to St Andrews. But fortunately, when I arrived, the rain stopped and the sun came out. I feel so lucky to see the under the sun!!! Fab time down at the beach. Kids had great fun. was really clean. Sand was quite fine so great for the kids to play in. Cafe and toilet facilities great too. And parking pretty decent - can get busy though at the end of the day. Fascinating sandy in St. Andrews. The rocky part is also a good place to climb around with your family members. The sound of sea birds and waves are so chilling that you would think that you are on a tropic if you visit there during summer time. West Sands St Andrews This is always a favourite of ours to visit in all seasons. Our dogs love the freedom of getting to chase their ball, splash in the water and meet other dogs. We love that it is freee parking and the boardwalks make it accessible through out various points of the beach. We like to park closer to the little café so we can grab a great sarnie and coffee after our walks, or on the chillier days a hot choco to walk along the beach. The is always immaculate and clean, it is very rare to spot any rubbish or anything washed up by the sea West sands is one of the most stunning beaches in fife. It's a gorgeous big area of sand and sand dunes. And if you get there at the right time for a stunning sunset then you're in for a treat. Lots of activities to do on the and in the water. I personally like a little late night fire when there's just a few others doing pretty much the same. It's relaxing and peaceful and a beautiful place in nature. Beautiful, but over time, this has been inundated with tiny particles of rock. The whole is covered in them. They get everywhere, and my shoes were a complete mess by the end of my walk. In addition, the water at the gets further away for a time, making walking to the edge a more laborious effort. Fortunately, it does return, eventually (sigh). We love visiting The West Sands. It's a favourite place for a family walk. The is so accessible. Easy parking. It was my go to place, to do some aurora hunting, on the 10th Oct'24 . For the most part, we had the all to ourselves! It was an incredible sight, and knowing how easy is was to get to, and park, made it the perfect place! A great big beach, so plenty of room for all and the parking is free We went in November, it was very cold and sunny.
