Beautiful place for a day trip in the Tatras. The way up is rather a moderately difficult walk on the trail. At the top you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains, you can refresh yourself at the local cottage, where they have a really rich offer of mainly classic Slovak dishes. Very nice place with easy access also for bicycle or pram. The path is made of asphalft all the way, but it is in some parts a bit steep up the hill. By the lake are two restaurants with pretty good food mostly traditional Slovak dishes. Super gorgeous view (though we missed the fox:( ), line is a bit long for the restaurant, but the parena buchta and the caj was delicious krasne pleso so super vyhladom, odporucam Super Beautiful lake amidst the mountains, definitely worth a hike! Too long way to climb up (3,5 hrs), all the way passes in the forest, nice but quite monotone, there is no open view or panorama. The trail itself is not pleasant: many many stones. Exhausting, you arrive to the lake and the restaurant - the mountain view is great! But the lake was really dissapointing, so small if you compare with the photos shared here. I would not choose this hike knowing it. The pleasures of the result are not worth the effort. The restaurant menu is limited and not adapted to the summer season: only heavy meat plates; no possible to pay by credit card. This is a truly beautiful place with breathtaking views.
