If you just stand next to the fountain, you may think it is just an ordinary blue that keeps running day and night. But if you have the opportunity to climb to the top floor of the City Hall next to it, you can see the whole picture of the fountain. It is like a blue gem dotted in the city surrounded by cement and green plants. It is more beautiful. It is an important embellishment for the building next to it that carries history and culture, and it is also one of the landmarks of Subotica. Very nice place in the town. Overall Subotica belongs from my point of view to one of the most beautiful towns in Serbia. It has most central European taste, which cames from its past when Vojvodina was a part of Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Unusual city landmark. Nice place to rest when touring Subotica town. The Blue fontain is the best known place in Subotica. Located in the real heart of the city, gives a good fresh air in the hot summer day. I spent a wonderful three days time in Subotica with my son in June 2015. It's a nice place. You can sit and just admire the beautiful fountain. It's great that this is always surrounded by young families walking with their children.
