A fantastic Mansion, we had an unforgettable experience here. Nice castle, nice garden, no tour's available Out in the gardens for good pizza and beer. I will go back for sure some time. Vanligtvis finns både restauranger och caféer samt hotell här men för tillfället är det stängt i väntan på en ny entreprenör. I got a gift card from work for one night & breakfast for 2 people in a castle. Seemed a good deal, but in the morning it cost us 2000 kr extra, included in the "deal" for mandatory purchase for 3 courses & 3 wine taste. Food was ok and 2 wines were great. I'm not a sommelier. The room could be better. Understanding it is a castle, but the room had no noise insulation. Not so much for the strange noises during the night, but the morning we heard the other guests clear and loud while they were going to have breakfast. Das Schloss selber ist ein geschlossenes Hotel im Privatbesitz Kronovalls slott bjuder på en fantastisk exteriör med lummig park, pampig allé och charmiga gångar runt slottet, perfekt för bröllopsporträtt. Den romantiska atmosfären och den välskötta trädgården ger en klassisk, tidlös känsla i bilderna. En inspirerande miljö för den som älskar slott, grönska och elegans i kombination. It just needed a spa place to be perfect...! I need to come back. AVOID. Kronovall Slott took our overnight booking before Christmas, then went bankrupt…. but nobody informed us of their recent Bankruptcy or contacted us to cancel our booking. The place was closed down when we arrived. New owners came out, but looked beyond clueless about our booking. Could only say sorry we’re closed or to recommend somewhere else to stay locally…. Even as the ‘ new owners ‘ this is not how you treat your customers. Do not waste your time, especially if this is how returning guests are treated by the old and even the ‘ new owners ‘ EDIT: 1 star review stands as the ‘ new owners ‘ have handled this whole situation very badly, so it’s definitely not ‘ unfair ‘ as they might suggest in their response. We will not be back. Unfortunately it was closed due to "waiting for new owner".. But surroundings are nice, and when passing worth to stop. But don't drive any extra miles for it.
