We stopped at the Visitor Centre in Regensburg to pick up a map of the Historic Centre. The map was sufficient and provided a long list of interesting places to visit around Regensburg. An expected range of brochures, general information and handful of locally sources products were available for purchase as well. Regensburg is a very beautiful, lively and elegant by the Danube. The Old Town of Regensburg with Stadt am Hof is an exceptional example of a central-European medieval trading centre, which illustrates an interchange of cultural and architectural influences. Often overlooked by tourist due to its proximity to Munich, this UNESCO world heritage site is a must visit for me. Regensburg is the largest medieval old town North of the Alps with so many listed historic buildings and a picturesque cityscape. The cathedral and the stone bridge are among the most famous sight. Excellent staff that were very helpful. Good maps and other resources. Definitely worth a stop to get oriented when you get in to town. Very friendly staff. Got a nice tour Grey haired middle aged women was RUDE and less than helpful! We were only looking for directions towards banking services. If I were to desire more services I would certainly give second thoughts. Visited the information centre for a tour. I was only a customer, but taken care very well by a lady who were born and raised in the city. Friendly environment, the lady bumped into her friends several times while the tour. Unlike tours in a big city, you can feel local flavour. Awful experience. No advice or map available. Just told to look at Apps that we could not access. Very disappointing. i was cycling, it was raining cats and dogs and i didn’t feel like setting up a tent in the rain or dealing with a wet tent in the morning so decided to stay in a cheap hotel. tourist info found me great place to stay at a reasonable price despite the being almost booked out at the time Very nice place in the very centre of the with super competent service delivered by nice staff. We booked a guided tour on foot (approx. 2hrs) for reasonable €14,- which was very informative and entertaining as well. Recommendation. Quick queue, good and polite personal. Shared a brochures and map. You can find guided tour conducted in multiple languages here. Also, there's free wifi connection that works.
