Beautiful place to hike, view is unforgettable.So it from my sailing in Oslofjord, did ask for a name, found the starting point and here I was. Went there twice, I lost my way several times, did not matter, its not a Siberia, so I came home later, full of lovely memories and amazing photos. Go there, place is really nice and you will see whole Oslo and Oslo fjord from above. Embarking on the to the place where Sondre Kolsås draws inspiration was a truly enchanting experience. The journey unfolded amidst breathtaking landscapes and offered a glimpse into the artist's world. The trail itself was a harmonious blend of natural beauty and tranquility. If you are looking for a medium mountain hiking with a great view this is ideal 👌. The view is perfect and you can see bærum and oslo fjord. For the hiking roads you should check local apps and the roads maybe a little hard to find. There are some signs available that you can follow. Such a nice place to go for a walk and talk throughout that time. I’m super grateful that so many places like that are so well situated to appreciate them. I love short visits in Oslo and to feel the that is all around. From this top of the hill I feel freedom 😳😀🍀 I love the trails in this area. There are several ways to get to the top of Kolsåstoppen, and the view from it is worth all the sweat!! Bring plenty of water & perhaps a snack for enjoying at the top. Great hike! Start around 10am to have a pick-nick at the Southern top and be back before dark. It took us about 4 hours to walk to the Southern top, lunch, come back and go to the Northern top and back to the bus station. Picture stops included. ;) Easily walking will reach the top in about an hour. Beautiful sightseeing, stuning landscape. Be careful walking down, slippery rocks everywhere! The Kolsås area is a beautiful, rough piece of that has been amended just enough so that anyone can make the up and down the mountain. Owing to its proximity to Oslo, the area is wildly popular, and as a result, when we made the climb to Sondre Kolsås on a sunny Saturday afternoon in September, the path was incredibly crowded. After enjoying the stunning views from the viewpoint and later from the peak, we ventured on towards Nordre Kolsås, which was considerably more quiet, and home to absolutely stunning nature. There are signs posted throughout the area, but it is not a bad idea to use hiking apps (I used AllTrails) to make sure you do not get lost. There are a great number of paths, and not all of them are marked. If you arrive by car, it is unclear to me where the best place to park is. We ended up leaving the car on toppåsveien, which more people have done, but parking is very limited there. Overall, the area is reasonably well accessible, though a certain degree of mobility is required to climb over the larger rocks and boulders. In a few places, stairs have been installed to help. It is not quite the most spectacular I have seen in Norway, but if you are in Oslo and looking for a place to go, this is a good choice! Me, together with my friends and family really love this place. Super cool! It is a great way to start warming up your body for a great hike. We usually here 2-3 times a year. Easy hike, took us an hour with kids on slow pace. There are two view points. The south top views are breathtaking, worth visiting.
