What a superb campsite, friendly reception despite our very late arrival due to the delay on the Patras-Ancona ferry. It was well after dark when we arrived. So quiet & peaceful here unfortunately the lower terraces don't get as much shade as the higher ones and it's a steep climb up to the restaurant & pool area. There were pitches available higher but we missed them in the dark. That said it's only a very slight inconvenience mainly due to the start of a mini heatwave. The restaurant has a great selection of pizzas and some other fast food that looks delicious. There is Peroni on tap and you must try the wonderful chilled red wine! The pool's are beautiful & we'll kept, there's even a Jacuzzi! The toilets & showers are clean & tidy as is everything else on the campground. The pitches are generous too. Oh yes & fabulous views across the Italian country side, yet the coast is just a short drive away. Fantastic location all round. Highly recommend. This is an excellent, well-run and peaceful campsite. The site is arranged in terraces and it is preferable to be on the higher terraces. The restaurant is lovely and has views over the valley. The nearby town of Mondolfo is a pleasant small town and the walk there is interesting and on pretty lanes. The nearby village of Stacciola is pretty. We cycled to Corinaldo, a gorgeous hill top walled town. Some of the cycling was on the main road but much of it was on quieter roads. Way out of town but in a quiet locality, place is great for dinner. We went with friends from Ancona who visit this place on and off so got personalized service. The food was good, wine OK and evening ambience good for a day out. Saw a lot of locals who knew each other, friendly banter was on. Families celebrating, others having fund and nice dinner. Place had a friendly, bubbly and positive atmosphere, we liked it. The Dessert Tiramisu was different from what we had in other places in Europe, not the typical one you would find in other Italian places, wonder what version it is ? :) Reportedly, the camping ground next door gets pretty packed in season and is popular, has a pool too. You would need a car to get here, or a long long walk on the dusty and lonely trail. Review of ristorante: Great pizza from stone oven. Delicious Panna Cotta and cheesecake. Prices 1-2 euro per pizza over average in the area, but note coperto is included. Service could be little better, we felt not full welcome, main waitress seemed irritated and too busy, since only she could take orders and payments. Tables need upgrade, when you cut your pizza all is shaking. Overall it was a good experience though, kitchen is amazing but place could be better in service. 5/5 is in range if these improvements were made. This is a lovely site with a great bar pool and restaurant. Whilst I have not eaten a meal, the coffee and pastries are good. A terraced site with clean shower and toilet block A gem of a place to stop and un wind. Stayed in bungalow - excellent. Clean and quiet. Can't say enough about all the staff here. Just welcoming, efficient, friendly, all brilliant. This to my wife and I is a very special place. Loved every minute of our stay here.
