Beautiful waterfall! We got quite close to the with our car, then it's a 20 min walk (jumping between rocks) and we got to the waterfall, the stream was strong and impressive. Very nice trail. About 2.2km from the place we parked until the waterfall. We went back in the same path which is marked with red and sometimes blue markings. There are two beautiful pools neer the waterfall. We arrived on October before the rains so the was not flowing. Very Recommended trail. One of the best experiences I had in Greece so far! I booked my hiking experience with an excursion company in Athens and I super recommend doing it because Google maps doesn’t have the right trails to take, so it’s always better to go with someone that knows the route. It’s a great option also for people in Athens that want a day trip with hiking and swimming. I went on this experience solo and never felt alone once! Plus, the is so beautiful. The is fresh, which is great after the hiking till we get there. I recommend taking sunscreen and a hat because the sun can hurt and it’s always got to protect. Also - take a good pair of shoes! And a swimsuit because you’ll want to swim! Wow absolutely amazing. A very ‘must see’ ! The is just so clear and refreshing. The easiest way to find it is to drive through Manikia village and you will find a green sign "The waterfalls" just continue on the dirt path for around 3km. If your car is very low I do not suggest to take this road. Be prepared for a bit of hike/walk in the sun and then climbing over river bed rocks (bring plenty of water!) - but if you have the opportunity definitely allocate a few hours to this nature paradise! Very refreshing and great swim apart from stunningly beautiful river canyon. The falls have in this dry season filing the pools for a good swim. After leaving the dirt road a short walk through the river with a chest deep pool before the falls.Frogs, fish and insects can be seen .Great day trip to a not well known place Off the beaten track and the terrain can be a little tricky, but absolutely worthwhile once you get to the waterfall, take sturdy wet shoes with you and definitely take your swimwear! The scenery is beautiful combining mountain view with azure waters! There are two ways to reach the (both require a decent - good physical ability). There is a hiking trail marked with red dots (a bit challenging, adventurous and fun!!) and there is also a dirt-road leading nearby (with a short walking distance afterwards). In order to reach the big some extra walking/ amateur hiking is required). Anyone interested should rent (if not owned) a 4x4 car or something similar since the road isn't recommended for everyday cars.
