I've never been here before but have driven past it a few times. On the way to Cork via the ferry past Duncannon. One large bar and a bar/restaurant, from what I saw. The larger bar was rammed with what I assumed were locals enjoying a Good Friday night out before heading into Wexford. It was certainly quieter by the time we'd left. They had stopped serving food by the time we'd arrived, so we sat in the smaller room. Beer was good, and service good and friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our drinks and a chat. A group of lads kn the next table were having boisterous fun but left by the time we'd finished our first drink. Although food had stopped, we saw one person collect a takeaway dinner. Another couple came in wanting food and the bar woman gave them helpful advice of where to go in the town/village for that since their kitchen was closed. The couple returned later for drinks. I'd come back again when I was less tired after a long journey. Wellington Bridge is a village with a surprising amount of infrastructure given its size and with the Bannow nearby and its bay, I imagine it'd be a great place to explore or foot or bike. Nice plate of fish and chips. My wife enjoyed the sweet chili chicken wrap. The service was nice and server friendly During COVID: Place looks nice, lovely on the inside too, but they sit us in a table in the playing room, they shouldn’t even offer this place specially not to couples. Bright white light that makes the room not nice or welcoming to stay for longer after finishing the meal. The table was crooked and had to fix it ourselves, even though we told the waitress. Personnel was busy due to overcrowding in the times we’re living. The food was good, crispy duck was nice and the veg stir fry lovely, even though a little bit too spicy and wasn’t informed of that, on the menu or by the staff. Overall experience not so good. We coincidentally came by this beautiful restaurant. The food is delicious and the service very friendly. I had the Guiness Beef stew, fantastic. Highly recommend it! To celebrate family milestone birthdays...thanks so much made my mum and family members very happy 😊 My duck salad was so tasty!! I had a taste of the chicken curry too & it was good!! The staff were lovely. They have a great selection of alcohol ( especially gin). The decor is nice & bright. This is a place I would recommend. Fantastic pub and restaurant. Food was excellent! Staff very friendly What a fantastic place. We had two coaches over in Ireland and needed a place to eat. With only a 2hr warning they managed 60 meals in under 1 hour. Everything from the service to the food was brilliant. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Many thanks we will be back.
