Fortress Prozor is a historic fortification located in the small town of Vrlika, which is situated in the Dalmatian hinterland region of Croatia. The fortress dates back to the 16th century and is a significant cultural and historical monument in the area. It is still in extensive renovations and restorations in recent years, with the aim of preserving its architectural and historical value. The fortress is open to visitors but you are enrerimg on your own risk, there is no entering fee. You can see all Vrlika and Peruča lake in the distance. I would highly recommend visiting Fortress Prozor if you are in the area and have an interest in history and culture. Try to go out of the season becsuse the road to the fortress is so very narrow and steap Beware you enter at your own risk its not monitored but the views are great on a clear day and always fun to have to climb around old ruins What a beautiful view to the valley and the mountains 🥰 Beautiful castle with excellent overview of the region. One of the best point of view I’ve seen in Croatia. Really calm & not that far from the lake. Fav The place is Stunning. You can view the whole sinj😊. Just be careful going up there bcoz the road is small and stiff for us. Unsafe for kids and adults This fort is beautiful to see on the mountain side. It had been restored a few years ago - lights ( very important) are the first thing they do here - but not much more. There is a stairs to get in, and further on again but the beams are already rotting away - leading to a wall after which there was a huge drop. So : an adventure, not a fort to visit with kids.
