This is most known as Meštrović Mausoleum. It is both a Catolic church and a tomb, built by sculptor Ivan Meštrović in 1920's. His birthplace is in the nearby village. The building is on a distinct position on a hill along the road. The signs leading to it are rather old and badly maintenaned. There is an information office that works in weekends. The entrance to the grounds is (supposedly) free of charge. The place is peaceful and great for a short detour. Beautiful mausoleum, located in a serene and peaceful countryside of Dalmatian Zagora. It's the resting place of the late sculptor Ivan Meštrović, possibly the greatest Croatian sculptor of all times. At the base of the hill you can buy the ticket if you want to visit the mausoleum, and have a guided tour. Otherwise is closed. Ivan Meštrović was one of the most prominent sculptors and architects during the both Yugoslavias. His is a central point of the museums in the village. Sadly, we didn't go inside but it is a nice place to see. Recommend. A must see for the lovers of Meštrović, Croatia's best sculptor ever. Gospođa koja prodaje karte bila je jako ljubazna te me je provela i objasnila sve sto me je zanimalo ali dobijo sam puno više informacija. Vrijedi pogledati Its such a peaceful surrounding such a quite place to be, nature around is stunning, and the church inside worth to see. I recomend to every turist to come and feel it, its our famous artist and the works inside are wonderful.
