Dingy bus station. No signage. Even you have a online you have to go to counter number 4, pay 50 Dinars get a special paper to go to the platform. Good news is that they accept credit cards It's the main bus in Skopje where you take bus to other cities and countries. 20 minutes walking from Macadonia square. I booked a to Pristina from the counter number 4, and fortunately they accept credit cards. The trip was on time, but unfortunately return tickets not available as you need to book your return at arrival of the other destination. The old, dirty, no signs, and not organised. It must have some improvement to be a better and beautiful gate to Skopje. Yetersiz, zayıf. Tercih edilmiyor, edilemiyor. We bought bus tickets here to belgrade. Did not have to pay entry fee to the platform as some others mentioned. I am not sure the hours of operation for the offices. I could not find the info on google and could not see any signs at the to inform ticketing hours. (Maybe there was a sign but I couldn’t see it). However I noticed they were not open on 9am Sunday morning when we first arrived. So maybe best to go during office hours to be on the safe side. The counters accept visa or Mastercard as payment options. There is also a money exchange office next to the counters but we did not use the service so I don’t know how good the exchange rates are, and there is no signs or boards to display any rates. There is a big waiting area with lots of chairs to sit, and ATM machines for a couple of banks including Stopanska bank. I did not withdraw money here when we arrived even though I needed some, as there were a lot of people hanging around and I did not feel comfortable. There were also people hanging around asking for cigarettes and money. There is a cafe but again we did not use it. Be careful of the taxis. There are a lot of taxi drivers waiting for passengers and demanding high prices. We walked a bit further down to catch a taxi and luckily found a fair man who charged us a decent price. Unfortunately when leaving Skopje and catching a taxi back to the station, the driver took a ridiculously long route and ended up charging us almost triple the price we paid the first time. Запуштена жел.станица Very walkable city. Very sweet people. Great weather. Taking a free walking tour in the morning. I highly recommend walking tours. They acclimate you to how the city is laid out, give you cultural and historic information. They take you to the important points of things to see. Food is very good here as well. Katastrofa, sramota Bad information, woman behind the desk wasn’t helpful. Didn’t know time schedule from Veles to Skopje. was dirty and doesn’t feel save. The infrastructure is that of a 3rd world country, trains are extremely slow and Ans everything is soooo dirty! Shameful! Friendly staff, nice places to eat, exchange money, traditional music played over speakers. Toilets cost 20 Denari but were genuinely terrifying Full with trash, destroyed, old and elevators not working, but the platforms are good. Traveling from Skopje to Veles and back by train is a fantastic experience. The Skopje train is a unique and impressive piece of architecture, and the trains themselves are comfortable and perfect for the journey. A major highlight is the staff. The train drivers and conductors are very polite and professional, making the trip easy and pleasant. If you have an online ticket, don’t bother going inside as they make you pay a tax and buy an extra ticket. I’m not sure if it is just to be in the bus terminal building, but you don’t need it get on the bus. Seems like a tourist scam, as I’ve never ever done this anywhere in the world.
