Booked the river cruise with Paixao through GetYourGuide and came slightly early for the visit. 1️⃣ When we arrived, the organiser called out our names as they were expecting us, and got the to detour slightly and let us hop on. 2️⃣ after we left, another group came to the counter and they docked to let them board again 😅 3️⃣ While we booked the trip in English, we were surprised to see 3 other groups of languages onboard.. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed at this point seeing how poorly organised they were. Poor guide has to speak in 4 different languages to different groups throughout the tour.. 4️⃣ we docked again after a round trip on the city area, to let onboard another 21 Spanish folks, putting the total capacity close to 40 pax.. That said, we had the blessings of blue skies, and the sight was pretty in general - the ride was also slow and smooth sailing, allowing us to take photos for the most part. I’m not sure how to recommend a better experience, I guess it’s all luck and whether they can accommodate the entire with folks who speaks the same language so they can share more in detail - plus they could really use a loud hailer since we also found it hard to hear them at times. But what really made the experience unforgettable was our guide. He was so friendly and kind, explaining all the interesting details about Aveiro’s history and culture in a way that was easy to follow. On top of that, he spoke perfect Spanish and English, which made everything even better. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Aveiro! A lot of fun and well worth the price. We're first to buy tickets and already in but they sold tickets to larger group and we had to get off the boat. They promised next in 5 to 10 mins but it never arrived. Then they transferred us to operated by another company. That had already started cruise and since we were only English speaking persons on board the guidance was very limited.
