By an Executive Decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia adopted on 9th April, 2019, the Arena was renamed "National Arena Todor Proeski" in honour of the Macedonian pop icon Todor Tose Proeski. Easy to access but seats may be dirty and the stairs between the rows are very narrow I attended a day game at the Arena Todor Proeski, where North Macedonia played against the Faroe Islands. The had a lively atmosphere, with chips and drinks available for purchase inside, which made the experience more enjoyable. The modern facilities and passionate crowd added to the excitement, making it a great matchday overall. The place to watch and support the Macedonian team and of course FC Vardar 😀 The pitch looks like it is in a very good shape, the lighting is great too. It takes about one half time to find your seat but... nevertheless. The arena itself is ok for space and order, but the staff, maintenance and organisation is not. First the seatings are not clean, full of bird shyt, second you can't take water inside and you must stay whole time thirsty because there is no water in toilets to drink nor to buy in halftime for example. Also the staff check for lighters which is fine, but inside the guests smoke cigarettes around and none react from staff for example how do they smoke if they give lighters to staff on entrance. And the best thing is tere is no parking, the parking you must find by yourself few kilometers around, because all of the parkings are reserved for ,,big time fellas'', and police redirects you to another parkings as per luck if you find. No food, drink or even WATER available inside the ground for 4 hours watching an international football match that many people travelled over 1500 miles for. This was in a "category 1" area too.
