Pavilion Restaurant 't Schor

Hulst, Netherlands Restaurant

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Key is lookout! The view here over "T Land van Saeftinge" is what you want. Food options are mainly snacks in bistro style. But they are pretty OK. Super place to view the ships going to Antwerp and the tide also. We didn't eat, but the personnel were really friendly and not pushy It is a excellent spot to enjoy the view and the atmosphere of het Vernon land van Saeftinge. The menu and the staff are good, but a little generic. We went to this restaurant twice, for lunch and dinner. Beautiful outdoor areas, cosy indoor area, very friendly staff and we got a table even without a reservation with a dog and were able to enjoy the view. We really enjoyed the kibbeling, spare ribs and tomato soup. The BBQ sauce was really good and it came with aioli. The bruschetta was not to our taste as it was too sour and lacked garlic, but was probably the house style. There is a parking area on the other side of the dyke. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Very nice spot, in front of a wide bent in the Scheldt- river, on the border of the "Land of Saeftinghe" nature reserve. To enjoy a tasteful Belgian (we are in Holland trough) bier on the large and cosy terras. Afterwards a brisk walk along the riverside Got caught in the rain and fled into the pavilion with a wet dog. The lovely young waitress encouraged us to come in as she had a little nook for us inside where it would be warmer. It's rare to see such kindness. We were underdressed and soaked. Coffee and a (lovely) hot soup sorted us out. Thank you! We wanted to sit with 8 people, moving 2 adjacent plastic tables was not allowed. After 30 mins, we then moved to another free table in the shade because the sun was too hot, and this was met with serious pushback from the staff. Apparently staff comfort is more important than the customer. Location and restaurant are supernice and food/drinks as well. Unfortunately one of the waiters (the tall blond one) was not so polite with us. Some drinks were wrong and he didn't want to change and bring them back. Moreover at the end he told the 3 of us not to split claiming at a loss of time by his side. I think in such business the time spent with customers is vital for reputation. All the rest...prima!
