Food was excellent, would recommend the pici with duck sauce, lasagne (so many layers!) and ribollita soup. They have 3 beers on tap (and a huge selection of bottled beer). Beer was really good, houser white wine was also very pleasant. Great service, very nice staff. I was disappointed with my stinco di maiale which I expected to arrive as tender meat on the bone. Instead, it arrived carved into rather dry and chewy slices on a plate with the bone to one side. I wondered if this was an attempt to rescue a piece of meat that was cooked earlier in the day. Our favourite restaurant in Cortona, relaxed, good quality rustic food and happy atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. We only had an antipasti, but everything was from the area and tasted terrific. They had many different non alcoholic beer! All the desserts was homemade. We recommend the cheesecake that was so soft and nice. The waitress is adorable. A nice surprise in the heart of Cortona old town. It may sound odd to have a burger in Tuscany, but it's a burger of chianina, totally worth it. The portion is huge, too pity that I'm too full to try the dessert. The service is top notch, friendly, so nice and welcoming. Great selection of craft beer. And what I like the best is that it opens very soon, so if you want a early lunch this is the best spot. We have been returning to this restaurant for seven years. I'm sorry I'm writing feedback about them only now. We found a gem in the center of Cortona that, in our opinion any large restaurant could envy. The service is fast and family friendly. The staff is very nice and attentive. Today my husband and I had lunch at Birrificio Cortona and were in awe at how amazing it was. The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had half a roasted chicken with some greens and roasted potatoes and a glass of white wine and left not a morsel on my plate. My husband had the wild boar stew and he also devoured it and said it was amazing. The wines that the server/hostess brought us were also perfect with our meals and my husband had a beer first and said it was the best he’s had since we have been in Italy. After our delicious meal we shared a delicious brownie and ice cream covered in a chocolate sauce. The chef also gave us a complimentary glass of their homemade orange cello.. again simply delicious. Our server and the chef were both very welcoming and very kind. We would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day.
