This is a must visit in this town. Really excellent, unique idea. The guide was incredible. So obviously enthusiastic about his job. The method of displaying the diaries was imaginative and used technology well to bring the content alive. I loved this place. Interesting, moving, full of the human condition. This is a MUST STOP when you are here. Thousands of and diaries of people who have written about their lives and/or experiences in Italy, from love stories, of survival during the war, of just growing up in small towns and the difficulties and joys. What a great idea!!! One woman wore her whole story on her bedsheets because she had no paper. Very emotional and heart warming. Absolutely the best museum I have ever visited. Although it is only few rooms big, the inside are endless. It’s amazing what big of a difference a good tourguide could make, even in such a small institution. The idea is brilliant, it’s one of a kind, I will never forget how the made me feel and I think that it is mainly thanks to the personal touch of the employees, I’m terribly sorry that I cannot remember the name of the male tourguide, but you were amazing! A very powerful piece of history. Learning the value of everybody's story. A surprising find in this quaint little village. Would recommend to everyone. My B&B host suggested I make the visit. The is made even more valuable as it is a guided tour, which helps bring the highlighted to life. What if every region had such a place, where of "ordinary" lives were given meaning and purpose!? While I was fortunate to stubble in without a reservation, I can see why they encourage making one, as to insure the best experience. How interesting can it be to read another's diary? I went without any expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. Our guide, Giacomo is such a wonderful storyteller. Probably the tiniest museum you'll ever see. It has 4 little rooms and each has many interesting to tell. From heart wrenching notes of a boy to his mother until his death, to the intricate details on a bedsheet written by a grieving widow. While I was extremely impressed by how the little rooms were curated, the introduction and the way the were presented by our guide deserves much applause. Thank you so much! *Book in advance. If you require an English guide, put a note in your booking. It was the most wonderful experience!! If you speak English, best to email them in advance for a English tour, it makes your even better. They have translated quite some in English, and the of the installation itself is wonderful as well. Really recommended. I wont post photos, since you have to see it for yourself :) My of this unique museum was both impressive and profound. The presentation demonstrated to me the sensitive reality that very person has a story that is often full of vulnerabilities, raw perspectives, tenderness, creativity, and struggle. I wholeheartedly suggest you visit this treasure that insightfully reveals our transcendent common humanity. Wow - wonderful and interesting museum after finishing Stage 7 of the Via di Francesco.
