Very nice swimming during summer, plus plenty of hiking to take. Beautiful sunsets too. Has access to public transport. Flottsbro is a sports facility and an outdoor recreation in Huddinge municipality just outside Stockholm. The facility is best known for its 100-meter high ski slope, a Bike Park, a beach, a campsite and a number of exercise tracks, MTB and XCO and hiking trails. Flottsbro is surrounded by nature and is located on the shore of Albysjön with access to Lake Mälaren. The campsite offers cabins, caravan and tent sites all year round and it takes about 30 minutes by car to Stockholm City. Clubs such as Huddinge skid club and Friluftsfrämjandet rent and hold their activities at Flottsbro. A with very nice view. Unlike the other places in Stockholm, the does not start from very deep. Depth increases gradually here. So if you do not know how to swim or you are not a good swimmer, you can still enjoy your time in the water. A grass land is also there, you can enjoy playing games there. Also, if you are coming by bus here then check for departure time in advance as there are very limited bus departures are available. Quite ok to practice some skiing but it is about 200m to walk from the parking lot and there is no toilet in the children area. It was very short ques when we were there but the capacity is quite low so I would expect this to not always be the case. It's a lovely that has a skiing hill in the winter but in the summer you'll find they convert the lift to a mountain bike lift. There are tons of mountain biking and running trails. There are also lakes for swimming and fishing, campsites for camping, and you'll even find exhibitions here during the summer. Great place to go and fulfill your outdoor needs. They have a decent amount of parking with one lot costing only 50kr for the day. There is also a bus that takes you here. Quite an OK skiing hill considering its proximity to the city. Their limiting of available tickets per day makes sure it never gets too crowded. I can recommend going as early as possible, we were maybe 10 people total around 9am on a Sunday! It does get quite repetitive fast if you’re an intermediate skier, so their 3-hour ski pass is a good deal. It’s an amazing option of accessible skiing place in the city. The chair lift makes a big difference for the kids!! In flavor you find a mix of posts for beginners and intermediate, plus a park depending of snow conditions on the specific year. It was great experience skiing at this resort. They have everything you need to get going, all you need to bring is gloves and googles, you can rent the rest. Helmets and Ski pools are free with your boot and ski rentals. The place is very good to chill and have a cozy picnic. You can have a swim and also can climb the hill or take a rope-way then come down with a bicycle. This is the most low effort bike park. I have been coming here for years now and it is in the worst shape it has ever been. They charge extreme prices, but can't go down the before the weekend and cut the bush on the side of the tracks. You get whipped on the legs by all sorts things and the haven't been fixed much or changed in years. We got a flow section of Grön sak this year. Yay! NOT. This is a 50 sek bike park at the moment and that is generous. The staff here need to go to Järvsö and learn how to make food and hill trails. Wanted to try downhill. Our first time. We had fun. Took my 5year old boy as well. The bike elevator takes a bit of getting used to when going uphill. You can rent everything from there , bikes, gears.. full cover helmet is a must and rightly so. My bike is a normal Marlin 6 MTB and my son rides a Scott Roxter 20inch with no suspension .. both the bikes held up well.. We would definitely come back. Nice little ski area, lots of fun. Reachable by public transportation but not so smooth from the commuter rail stop. Ski rental counters could have a bigger roofed for more comfort. The kids slope/area is the furthest one from the entry. very nice, huge and sandy beach. good to swim with your kids. and perfect nature. the only disadvantage is the buses are rare. also the prices in the restaurant is a bit higher then some other beaches in the area. i would still prefer slagstabadet. nice water, nice and more affordable alternatives for food and drink. Lovely in the summer time. Nice restaurant up on the hill. Easy to find it from the parking area. I can only recommend it.
