This place is beautiful, historical, fantastic views. Very interesting and preserved space, centuries old and one has to apreciate the effort that it took to create it. The walk uphill is amazing, I would recommend to leave the car near the first bridge at the entrance and then walk and explore We walked up, through the village to the castle ruins. It's a nice hike up, very picturesque. It’s a short uphill walk from the restaurant, o Lagarto, where we had lunch. The store by the ruin was closed but we were able to go up the tower anyway. Some beautiful “mountain views” from this site on a clear sunny day. We saw some donkeys in a field and walked down to play with them for a bit.
