Lovely place to have a around the pond. Always busy so need to keep dogs on lead on path, but off main path you can do almost a whole lap off lead too. In peak summer hours there is a tiny shop selling tea/coffee. Lovely walk, lots of wildlife, nice kiosk/cafe. First time visit here today. Looking for somewhere new to our English Springer Milo. Plenty of parking available which I'm sure in the height of summer will be needed! Nice well maintained path all the way around the pond, suitable for prams/buggys and wheelchairs etc. Benches can be found every few hundred metres. Was very clean and tidy with no litter that I could see. Didn't use the toilets so can't comment on them. Will be nice in the spring and summer months to sit down and have a cuppa by the little kiosk. People and dogs we met were very friendly. Water looked fairly clean and clear. Our dog loved it and went in for a few swims! Will come back again. We absolutely love it up penyfan taking our nutty dog for walks around aswell letting her do abit of swimming. We made so many friends plus furring friends to over the years. It's such a relaxing place absolute HEAVEN x Happy place to the dog. Free parking and a small snack shop - although I have not seen it open in months.. Nice, easy flat around the pond. Has been quiet in the mornings with plenty of space=] Great walks amongst the wildlife. Lovely place for a walk, whatever the weather Dog walkers, joggers, anglers, workmen, young families, retirees, motor home owners, people on lunch break and those visiting the café & picnickers, we all love being in this rural, peaceful place. The water seems clean, and looked after. When we visited, there were people fishing also. It does seem like a great place to have a little wander, especially if people have a pet. One downside is that the area as you come into the park and some other areas, it is a little overgrown, which makes it feel a little messy. Other than that, this place is great. Definitely recommend visiting here. Beautiful place for a walk, great to do your Couch to 5K! Small cabin where you can buy tea, coffee, ice cream etc Good spot for a walk, takes about 20 minutes to orbit the pond. Path is properly surfaced, broad and step free. Best part - the flower meadow near the car park, see photos (mid-September). Nice gentle around the pond, Great for dogs and easy walkers. But have to pay for parking,so you cant visit everyday to your dog as it will be hundreds of pounds a year. Great place for a dog walk,perfect for socialising them,they can swim and there's a small wooded area for a wander.The only down side is the presence of blue/green algae in the water as this is toxic to dogs.Signs are usually erected when the problem arises but you still need to be aware. Beautiful fishing and lovely around the area. They do have camping and glamping areas but never used the facilitlys myself. I mainly use the area for taking photos and letting the kids and dog run wild and burn some energy. Nice walking area. Good value sandwiches drinks and ice creams from the kiosk. Toilets too. Only negative is some big dogs not on leads. Nice pray nr water Came here 13/09/25. I'm touring Wales and came across this lovely stop-over. Weather changable so I brought an umbrella. Lovely around lake. Peaceful and relaxing around lake. Free car parking and toilets. Toilets basic but clean. No overnight parking.
