Overall it’s got a lovely vibe, I just wish dogs could be off-lead and under control like us humans. A sizeable cradled between the three famous hills that enclose Abergavenny - The Sugar Loaf, Blorenge and Skirrid. Great views of these hills can be had as you wander around the large and take in a couple of rugby games, the playground and sensory Garden. Easy flat walking trails and plenty of grass for ball games or running around. is pretty solid as well. There are even public toilets on site, which is a real rarity these days. Open field alongside a large car £2.00p for 2 hours opposite Morrisions super market 5 minutes walk into the main shopping street This was a perfect spot for us to take the dog on a recent stop into town, just across from the morrisions if you need any food for either a picnic or other things and really well suited for everyone's needs, it looked very well looked after, plenty of places to sit, a toilet for those that need it, multiple things for the children to do and overall just a lovely park. Must be a lovely amenity for the locals, I would definitely enjoy something like this where I lived. Overall if in the area stop by you wont regret it. Good for a walk and a play with the kids. The sensory garden is well maintained. Although loads of dog walkers in the very rarely see dog mess . We'll done dog walkers. My boy recently had school cross country here. 1 thing though, bring back the swimming pool and lido. I visit this annually for the steam and vintage show at the end of May Bank Holiday. There is something for everyone, I especially like the display of models in the marquee. Live steam engines, vintage and veteran cars, motor bikes, lorries and buses. 2 days of really interesting things to get involved with. Come and see it for yourself. Vintage steam and car show, well worth the entrance price.
