Pleasantly surprised, plenty to do both indoors and out. Lots of to keep the entertained from donkeys, goats , llama and sheep plus more. Bouncy castle and adventure playgrounds , food and drink. Tractor collection!!!! Lots of seating in and out - take your own picnic! Tractor rides , zip wire, and trampolines- broken into ages groups. Would recommend. A Fabulous day out which doesn't cost the earth. So much to do and see. to feed and watch. A tractor ride for fun, numerous bouncy castles, trampolines zip wires. Inside and outside zones picnic tables and comfy sofas for parents to watch their play. Large indoor sand pit. A shop, a small toy shop. Ice-cream, drinks, hot food everything is more than reasonably priced. It's a must for a family day out. We choose to come here instead of other closer farms by us (we live in Cwmbran) as it has a bigger choice of plays, has multiple bouncy castles, and a food truck which does enough food for us. I really like how open the fields are so visitors can explore without bumping into others constantly (an issue I’ve had with other farms) and there’s plenty of places to sit down with ample benches. Sure, if you do go during the weekend it will be quite busy so you will have to grab a bench when you can but usually I haven’t found an issue with being able to sit down when I need to. I’ve gone in the week with my nearly 2 year old and it’s as it’s not busy so she can explore freely without me being worried about getting hurt or losing her, it’s very quiet early mornings during the week so I would recommend this for parents with young with SEN needs as it’s usually peaceful and not hectic like on the weekend/during school holidays. It’s busy as it’s popular because there aren’t many farms around that have such a good variety with including a duplo Lego area. Theres a nice shop that does a fillet steak (yes it’s a bit pricey but worth it). I find the prices for food and drink in the reasonable and not over priced like other places. Cons of the place: Needs some money being put into it as some of the equipment is quite old or broken (there was a few ball shooters broken when I last visited). There is a area that has a slide blocked off which I’m unsure why as there’s no sign up but if certain equipment can’t be used, perhaps replace it or remove it? This con is dependent on the age of your and their ability but on EVERY area, trampoline and bouncy castle, they have signs up saying that adults can not go into/on the equipment. Most parents likely wouldn’t find this an issue if they have able to climb up everything without assistance or if they’re independent and don’t need to be near you at all times but under 2/3 might struggle in some without assistance from an adult or at least an older sibling but not all have this. If they have additional needs, they may also need assistance on certain equipment. Saying this, I did end up going on plays, trampolines and bouncy castles with my pre toddler as she was stuck or needed guidance plus I just wanted to WITH her rather than just watch her as it was dead in there at the time and there was no risk of me accidentally hurting others doing so… so again, you could do this when it’s quiet during the week as the staff usually don’t check up on you and I doubt they would say anything not unless you are doing it in a dangerous way or breaking equipment. Another con is that there isn’t actually many animals, for a you would think you would see Pigs/lambs/cows/rabbits maybe but the main I’ve seen while there were two donkeys inside, a pony inside, budgies, Llama’s and a fake cow you can pretend to milk. There’s more outside at the back but again, there’s not much of a variety. Yes you can feed some of the animals, think it was a pound for a bag of carrots.There’s no petting sessions or pony ride options (which would be great). There’s a tractor ride that is seasonal, I don’t think it runs all year. In terms of hands on activities with animals, this place prioritises play, trampolines, over animal interaction so it would be fair to say that if you want to visit a just for the then I would recommend another but if you’re coming with 12 and under then it’s a good farm. Possible improvements that could be made: Pony riding sessions to book/animal petting sessions would be great. A craft/drawing area by the toddler plays would be a good addition for kids. More variety of but I do understand this can’t always be possible. A bit more money being invested in this place and it would be even better. I do appreciate they have discounts for the disabled, have ample parking and the staff are friendly. A place for to burn off a lot of energy. We went on a very hot day and being able to be inside was great- the barns were cooler. The range of was especially as we had ranging from 3-11 years old in our party. Not a huge amount of to see- would be even better if there was a small animal area to pet rabbits etc. The outside were and even though it was busy there was lots of space etc. My daughter got bitten quite badly on the hand by one of the ponies but a member of staff carried out first aid and completed an accident form. The are very used to being fed so if you don't have food they think you are the carrot!! Amazing for the kids. Good butchers, lovely fresh meat, good prices in the cafe. All around day out only problem you'll struggle to get your to leave! My boy who has additional needs had the most amazing day out here. I can’t recommend it enough and it will be our new go-to! So many things here to keep your little ones entertained all day! Amazing place Brilliant place to visit with children! Tons of things for to do, inside and outdoor areas. Beautiful to stroke and feed, especially the donkeys. We didn't eat here but the menu was available, prices were brilliant. Lovely for a day out.
