I met the manager at the Blackwood branch he assured me the the food at the otter would be good. He was right, well be back soon for the Carvery. We visited for Sunday carvery and was met by a lovely lad at the carvery station. The dinner was the best we’ve ever had there. It was extra tasty and we all enjoyed it. My only gripe is with the bar. i ordered a pineapple juice and he only did a small. I asked him to change it to a large and he gladly did it by tipping it into a larger glass which was all fine. However, it almost filled the larger glass and only got about another 2cm worth of juice then added more ice. So therefore, its not enough of a difference between a small and a large so felt a bit of a mug. All staff were very pleasant though so i don’t blame the lad. We will come back again but i’ll order two pineapple juices instead. 😂 Carvery was cold. More fat than meat and slices were basically half the joint. veg not re stocked. Deserts were nice 👍🏻 Pub was freezing due to lack of heating.
