The had a time and were really pushed to their limits. Dean was a instructor and made it really fun for the girls. He focused on it being teamwork rather than competitive between them and it was lovely to see them working together and helping each other. Would definitely it although it's not easy. 6 hours of pure fun, fresh air and adventure. They come home filthy and wrecked which is what you want! My son has been to many different camps over the years and he said this is by far the best one he has been to. He took a special shine to Dean however all the are so lovely. From an organiser viewpoint, the whole event was so well organised from booking the in, parking, getting through staring line and collecting them at the finish line. A special thanks to Ciaran Campbell who helped in sorting out the few adjustments we had to make. One thing a couple of the mentioned, was that there wasnt enough people to tell them where to go in the beginning and forest area. They said where skipping an missing a bit. I had 2 from the wave after us say that they think they skipped a bit and had lost their group. So maybe a few more wave leaders to make sure everyone stays together. From start to finish the 130 children ranging in age from 8-12 were guided by the brilliant from Alive Outside with plenty of encouragement, enthusiasm, water and the odd plaster provided with ease. The children were all at various levels of fitness and daredevilry, but the crew were fantastic and catered for all abilities. We loved the area too (we whizzed up to Dominoes to collect pizzas while the were busy on the course). One of our guests had an accident in the area, and the were amazing. They administered first aid, checked him over thoroughly and had him laughing through the ordeal. I was so impressed by how they handled it, and felt they went above and beyond, especially given the accident didn’t even happen on the obstacle course. In summary, a party, and a crew. I’d 100% recommend. My children absolutely love the Alive Outside and I can’t it highly enough. It is exceptionally well organised - check in was smooth, were clearly prepared and the schedule was communicated clearly in advance. What really stood out was the friendliness and enthusiasm of the leaders who build relationships with the children during the course of the camp. The come home utterly exhausted having had a wonderful day. I particularly liked that parents are given a contract number for one of the leaders should the need arise. I felt confident dropping them off and the felt welcomed and happy. Thank you to all the team and see you next year. We had a experience with Alive Outside for our daughter’s 8th birthday party. The were amazing - really helpful in assisting us both in the run up to the and on the day. The absolutely loved Lauren and all the activities they got involved in. Especially the toasting marshmallows!! They all said it was a fantastic party! We would 100% book again and would absolutely recommend. My son really enjoyed the afternoon camp. It’s a very good duration at 4.5hrs. He mentioned that the lake changing room was a container with no artificial light and when the door was closed it was naturally pitch black. Not sure if this can be improved on? He definitely wants to go back. My and a few of their friends did the one day and said it was the best day of their life!! They couldn’t decide which activity was best but I think the lake won out in the end. The leaders were and the whole was incredibly well organised and user friendly for parents. We will be signing up for sure again next year.
