Art deco style. Intimate seating at tables or bar style. I thought it was going to be like a school hall theatre. Instead it's a beautifully decorated, intimate revue-esque multi-tiered venue, where every seat is close to the stage. You can get drinks to your table. Fortunately, we got in early and got the best seats in the house, upper tier, centre stage which had a countertop for our drinks and cheeseboard. Now that we have found this gem, we will keep an eye on future performances and look forward to returning. We had an absolutely fabulous time seeing Jack L at the Whale. The staff were amazing and it was a fantastic experience. Peter's pumpkin party show was brilliant for the kids. Had not been to the Whale before but loved the vibe. Would be great for a comedy show. Looking forward to going again soon - without the kids this time 🤣 Very nice venue and great to have it back open again. Extensive schedule of events with something that should interest most people. The whale cheater itself is incredibly well laid out well maintained and the acoustics for a music event is perfect. Stunning venue! Intimate & perfect for the "unplugged" session with The Blizzards tonight. Staff were superb & we really enjoyed the cheese board ❤ This is a top class venue, wide variety of acts, a real supporter of the Arts, pays there acts fairly and treats them very well. Good sound system and decent engineers to drive it. Very warm and welcoming hosts. Fabulous night at 3 On The Bund concert. Big welcome from the staff.
