Lăcașul de cult, construit în stil brâncovenesc cu influențe bizantine, se înalță cu turlele sale zvelte, acoperite cu tablă strălucitoare ce prinde lumina soarelui. Fațadele sunt ornate discret, iar pictura interioară îți taie respirația: sfinți, voievozi și scene biblice zugrăvite în culori vii, ce par a prinde viață la lumina candelelor. Atmosfera este una de liniște deplină, în pașii se aud în surdină pe pietrele curții. De jur-împrejur, zidurile de incintă și turnurile de apărare te fac să simți că ești într-un loc a fost cândva nu doar centru de rugăciune, ci și fortăreață pentru credincioșii Bărăganului. Pe lângă rolul său spiritual, mănăstirea respiră cultură și tradiție: aici a existat una dintre cele mai vechi școli din zonă, o bibliotecă renumită, iar astăzi se păstrează cu grijă manuscrise și cărți rare. În prezent, călugării viețuiesc aici mențin vie flacăra rugăciunii și primesc cu blândețe pelerinii și vizitatorii. Very nice monastery!
