Lovely well kept memorial Very moving display that commemorates the 14 people who travelled on the Titanic in 1912,v only 3 survived Beautiful little garden that is pristine in every way. It's wheelchair accessible. The garden pays respect to the fourteen people from the local area who sailed on the Titanic. Only three out of the fourteen locals survived the sinking of the Titanic after it hit a iceberg in the North Atlantic on it's maiden voyage heading to America on the 15th of April 1912. The garden was opened for the centenary anniversary in April 2012. A time captual is also buried in the garden and is to be opened in 2037, 25 years after the opening of the The garden. Very moving small site of Remembrance of Titanic passengers. Cold and windy but very atmospheric. Beautifully kept. Free to visit. Also look at war memorial next to it, very historic. Beautiful location, worth visiting when traveling in the area. A memorial to the people of this village who travelled far away in hope of a better future. Most didn't make it. A pieceful spot in a pieceful village, worth a look round if your in the area. Such an iconic tribute to those who survived and perished at sea. A beautiful place with seating areas for reflection and just to enjoy the time there. When we're reminded each year of the Titanic and the lives lost in the disaster. I only learnt about they Addergoole 14 on an Instagram post someone else shared. The left Mayo for to seek a new life in America on board the Titanic, out of the 14 only 3 women survived. This memorial is a tribute to those who will never be forgotten, and it's worth a visit. If we were to stand and take a moment to think about who these people are and where they came from when they boarded the Titanic in Queenstown NOW Cobh in Cork. We are all walking in the footprints that our ancestors have walked before us. Please stop by and see this beautiful place, it's a tribute to loved one's, that lost their lives on the Titanic and their story.
