The basilica of our lady of Knock is a wonderful church have the altar at the middle of the church and must have a capacity around 10000 people. Wonderfully built. What a lovely place to visit not only once but to visit it regularly with my family. A great place to meditate, pray, to be with family and friends. A holly place where we can totally immerse ourselves to the beauty of God's mercy and grace. I have been to Knock cathedral as a child, but it has been massively improved! The whole place is set over a huge area and is gorgeous! My partner is Catholic and it was a dream for her to come here, as her Polish Pope, John Paul the 2nd visited knock in 1979, so extremely special for her in many ways!🙏😀 There are lots of souvenir shops lining the street on the way in, next to the cathedral. We were lucky as my cousin was driving and just dropped us off outside👌 But am sure there are so many places to park here, as it gets lots of visitors. A lovely place to come to. Very spiritual and peaceful place. It's very stunning; you should put it on your list of places to visit if you are in the area. Amazing but tbh we drove from Co kerry and back in the same day .would not advise it to long .you will defo need a couple off hour's, there is so much to see and take in everything. So we shall be back for sure Knock Shrine is the Holy place in Ireland. It's very beautifully built. The peace of mind and Joy in the heart during my visit to the QUEEN OF IRELAND can't be translated into words in review. It's awesome. I could spend only a few moments in prayer. The image of apparition is hugely made of 1.5 million marble stones. The round shaped Altar ground in the middle of the Basilica is very well done. This is a spiritual and holy place for Irish Catholics. Poles from all over Ireland make pilgrimages here every June. It's worth seeing, worshipping God, and entrusting your worries to Him. Beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of Knock. You can actually touch part of the wall Our Lady appeared on thousands of years ago. You can light candles and pray for family and friends, and light candles. You will leave feeling so peaceful.
