Hjularöd castle's main house has been built not until late 19th century, yet the estate is first mentioned in the 14th century. We haven't seen another in Skåne that has been taken care of this perfectly. Thanks to the Bergengren family that they share their beautiful gardens and splendid views of their private home. Nice castle, sad you can't view inside Majestic to look at, and who doesnt remember the mysteriet på greveholm. This is a private property so we could only look and take pictures from the outside, but close enough that it was worth coming. Very beautiful and nice surroundings. We did not realize that it’s a private property. We went too close to the to take picture. A resident of warned us about the private property and suggested us to take picture from outside area. We immediately left the area. Only stopped by outside it to check it out since it was the from the old Swedish advent calender Mysteriet på Greveholm. There was space to quickly park next to it to get pictures. A beautiful and magical tucked away in the Skåne countryside! Even though you can’t go inside, Hjularöd is absolutely worth a visit just to see from the outside. The architecture is stunning, and if you’re a fan of Mysteriet på Greveholm, it’s a fun trip down memory lane. Peaceful surroundings and great photo opportunities! Very beautiful! Very nice park and nice of the owners to make it public. Perfect little pit stop for anyone interested in castles :) well maintained, quiet and peaceful. Little smelly due to pigs I suppose..
