Hiking trail "The Cross"

This hiking starts in the town centre, goes across the town cemetery (???) and ends on top of a small hill where one is greeted by a humongous 30+ m metal structure of a cross dominating downtown Apriltsi and childrens' playground in need of repair. The path is lined by dozens of solar-powered street lights in varying degrees of reclination - as it appears, the object of EU funding. Good views of Maragidik peak and Apriltsi from the top. This was an unique experience in Bulgaria. It offers extremely beautiful views over the surroundings. It's an 8 h return hike with +1400 m difference in altitude, still it's worth. Very easy trail, very short. At the top of the hill you can see many mountain peaks, the view is veru beautiful. The is also suitable for old people that want a quick afternoon walk. Nice view to Apriltsi and mountains. But the grass is so big you can loose yourself. Lovely short to hike! You can go there and enjoy the sunset over the aprilzi area in the evening :) If you ever go to Apriltsi, make sure to stay in a rest house with a great view of the mountain. It was breathtaking waking up to that every morning. If you like walking, you'll love this, because there's around 8 to 10 kilometers until you get to the waterfall, but it's totally worth it! I had a great time there, the nature was beautiful and the air was very clean. Пътеката е с отнесена настилка вероятно от дъжд и порой който на места има дълбоки следи от тези порой. Виждат се и следи от тежки джипове който компрометират с преминаването си остатъка от настилката. Другата пътека през ливадите е за предпочитане.
