Challenging course with generally wide and beautiful fairways, but sufficient bunkers and water in the 'right' places to catch the unaware. Staff very hospitable. Fell in love with the course 20 years ago but have been working away since. Really seen what I have missed since becoming a pensioner. Was the home of OGGS but they went to Catterick in 2009. Just getting back into the swing of things. Awesome course, well maintained, and staff are great! Artland, interesting parkland course, with a lot of undulating holes. Could be quite wet out of season. Friendly welcoming staff and members. An enjoyable days golf at this wooded and hilly club, very picturesque. I was part of a group of 20 or so golfers. I felt that the catering could have been a little better, no great problems but we were definitely fed in the most economic manner. As always I ask myself if I would make a return visit? Yes for the golf , no for the catering... Really nice interesting golf course through the woods. Super! Wonderful place !! I would recommend visiting this place.
