Echt de moeite waard, zeker als het seizoen weer van start gaat. Wij komen zeker weer! Going deep into the underworld, about 30m you have 300m of underground works mine and some industrial ruin. The is tech oriented and the cafe offers a wide and great selection of baked goods and coffee. This is an Industrial located near the town of Piesberg where mining was carried out. I was told that it was partly under renovation, and I had the feeling that there were only few exhibits presented for the public due to the renovation work. But it is worthwhile the visit to the 300-meter-long Hasestollen, a historic mining tunnel. The visitors can get there (30 meters down) from the shaft hall of the Haseschacht building using the elevator. On the other side of the tunnel, there are some more exhibits (open air) and the warehouse building. Also, there is a railway yard which was the former mine station. Quite a neat little although somewhat unusual in its way of presentation. At first sight, objects seem a bit randomly scattered, but the logic behind the displays becomes clear fairly quickly. Quantitywise the three exhibition floors appear a bit empty but the objects displayed all have regional relevance to Osnabrueck industrial history, rather than aiming to present an overall summary perspective of German industrial history. The best part are the large and decaying objects strewn around the vast and sweeping property of the and these are bested only by the old 300-metre long mine shaft 30 metres below ground connecting the two main buildings. Right next door is the shunting yard for the local rail enthusiast group. Oh yes, they have working steam engines in the main building as well. Great place for a day out! Super interessant. Der Stollen ein Highlight. Sehr gut alles beschildert. Gut für Kinder. Danach zum Spielplatz. Top. Ok A very nice museum, loads of stuff to look at, and is really hands on with many things to do. Oh and it has a massive tunnel leading to another museum. It must be good as it was my seven year old choice of where to take our friends... Yep it beat out everything else for my little girl ! Great museum, gives inside in the history of the place and has some nice interactive element, which are not only interesting for kids (which is often the case in musea). Couples history towards the development of an area, is up to date and designed beautifully. Only downside that I can think of is that the is almost 100% German which could be a problem for tourists. First Sunday of every month a Oldtimer get together. I had a great time. Es gibt viel zu sehen , alles ist gut erklärt . Ein dickes Lob an die freundlichen Mitarbeiter Nace a place. Four stars because the was closed without information for what reason. Small museum, but enough to be entertained for several hours. Would recommend this for all ages. Normal price is €7,50 and only €5 when areas are under construction. Was interesting history presentation and interactive exhibition. The most impressive for me was the walk underground in a mine. There are several cafes on the territory with very tasty cakes! Must visit place Great place to take the children. Sadly no English descriptions. It was great when the big steam Machine was turned on. This is a really cool place to learn about industry and the area where the building is located (piesberg). I recommend checking it out when visiting onsabruck. Looks nice but sandly no other language than German.
