Great place to visit. I was there at late spring/early summer and trees were in bloom. Remarkable situated in the woods. Rocks were used as a fortifications. When you climb up to the highest point you may see a great part of Rudawy Janowickie mountain range, Klodzko lowland and Karkonosze Mts. Easy access from bus/train station in Janowice Wielkie. It has an unique climate. You can feel like being in "Witcher". Must visit. Nice wild castle, you have to hike. Some routes are tough so carefully choose, you can use fire roads, then you can go there with a stroller. Amazing fresh air and nature. Authentic and beautiful place. Free entrance. Takes around 45 min to go up to the walking slow and taking pics. #NelsonMochilero with a character! The road to them is quite hard - 30 minutes uphill, but it's worth that. Castle was built at the top of the rock, there are scenic views and medieval atmosphere. A little gem of a ruin. An unusual place and well worth a treck to it. Parking is in the nearby village and a good 30-40 min walk thereafter. No facilities on the way or on the top. Fantastic views from the top. The path is not suitable for wheelchair users or any prams. The terrain tricky in places and smaller children likely to require carrying. One of those experiences that will stay in your memory long after you forget all the food you tried. Recommended. The hike can be a bit challenging if travelling with very young kids or older people as there is quite a bit of a climb and the trail is sometimes slippery. Very mysterious ruins... Long journey by foot through forest to uncharted regions of it to uncover beautiful Bolczòw ruins... And there is pretty scary tunnel going under the castle... Very nice climb to the when the sun is out. Highly recommended. Interesting ruins! Somehow its a habit that they do not rebuild the in Poland. However its interesting! You have to understand Polish to be able to read the history! Excellent spot to visit while on a trail. Magnificent view of Śnieżka peak 🏔️ from the top. Amazing dining, rooms and atmosphere. Not overcrowded, approx. 2km to the castle, not an easy path, but I would say children from 4-5 years old can navigate it without problem. Really interesting ruins, nice view, I highly recommend it.
