As it was harvesting season trucks, tractors and what ever could carry grapes was driving to the factory so the timing was perfect Awesome wine. Celebrating 4 years since visiting and of course, just delicious. Give them a shot guys! This place is awesome. We arrived without an appointment and they were able to make accomodation for us. It was harvest time and our guide took us through the whole process of making and it's the first time we have seen it in person. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us great info. It's the best tasting and tour we had in Portugal. What a great winery: it combines old traditions with modern view, gives you a taste of unique craft of creating wines from this region of Portugal. Renata- our guide at Quinta da Lixa-was just perfect. She was very knowledgeable, nice and had an impressive English skills. Our party of five had a great time and would recommend this winery without any reservation! We learned a lot about wines and the region. We got to see the vineyard and the machinery. Ample time to chat and do tastings.
