It has 4 towers, 7 terraces, 12 hallways, 52 rooms and 365 windows. It is a wonderful place, but unfortunatelly it is left in ruin. In modern times it was an orphanage, but from 2012 it is abandoned. It can be visited. Most of the rooms are empty, but just seing the inside with hallways and staircases, basement and towers, transports you to another era. In a few rooms there are some things to see, like the director's office, the infirmary or the library, but they are all left in chaos. Leaving asside the fact that it is not taken care of, it still is worth seeing. The place definitely has potential and the building could look great if renovated but the current state is quite depressing. This is a castle, but, as usual, noone restored it. It is abandoned. This has a very interesting story and it will look amazing once it s renovated. It will be worth a visit and close by you can discover the peonies reservation. Worth the read A with a sad history and a very interesting design. The place is being renovated right now, with plans to be opened as a museum. Even now, when there is only one guard taking care of the place you can see how it was and how parts of it still are. It has great potential. 🔝 Not much to see honestly and the road getting there isn't great but we did have a good experience overall and they were quite organized with the fair outside. Also the guided tour was actually fun. Nice event, "Flori la Castel". An architectural marvel, the building looks incredible, but sadly due to lack of maintenance and willingness and money it's in a horrible state of decay. Repairs are being actively worked on, but they are on a low budget, so it might take some years until they fix it up and restore it to its former glory. The coat of arms is in good condition.
