Lovely big beach, looks to have about two miles or more of walking. Very quite here the day I was here (Sunday) so you have the place to yourself. Might have been 50 people on the whole area. Great place to get away for some quite time, plenty of places to pitch a tent but no shops or anything else around unless you drive to Ardmore which is very close. I didn't see any bins so bring your rubbish home. Amazing views. Not so busy beach. 2.1 m barriers at all entrances to the beach. Magical beach! Such a piece and only few human beings around. However, please note: Zero facilities such as toilets etc. For swimmers, beware of rip currents Beautiful clear water. Parking a little difficult at peak times. We travel from Youghal with big to swim there. Beautiful bay with wide sweeping vistas and a nice strand. Long with great walking, family friendly. Not a crowded which makes it extra special! Some seaweed cleaning would be beneficial in some spots but overall it’s a lovely peaceful location!
