Great for walking and relaxing. Long sandy with easy slope to sea,plenty of space even if there is a lot of people. Toilets on place and coffe,ice cream vans park beside. A fab long and sandy with some small pebbles. The sea was calm and clear the day I was here. A long boardwalk (2.84km) to Redbarn beach. Parking at various spots. Three separate lifeguard stations (that I saw). Various food and coffee trucks at various points along the beach. There are public toilets here too. There is a Quality Inn Hotel down at the Redbarn end of beach. The strand is very close to Yaughal Town proper, there is also a pub quite close to the too. Good with long walk along the promenade, high and low tide seems quite a big difference as the sea comes over the concrete footpath in windy weather at high tide. Nice memorial square at one end of the promenade opposite Walter Raleigh Hotel. Lovely beach, great walkways the length of the both concrete footpath and timber. Amazing views. Loads of parking with 4 plus carparks. Great for walks all year around plenty parking spaces taking in great views and arriving on the boardwalk which is the process of being extended soon to go all the way to the Quality hotel highly recommend Boardwalk is great. Suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. Easy access to beach. Amazing for a relaxing walk.
