After a nice walk this is a very option! First of all I must say the food & we received was beautiful the shop was spotless. The only sour taste left in our mouth was from who I presume was the owner giving he was perfectly okay with being obnoxious. After a beautiful walk we stopped here for food. As we had a small dog with us I took a bench across the road with the dog while my wife and daughter had a look at what was on offer. My daughter came out to let me go in and add my food to the order. I passed two people who had just entered before me and I joined my wife who was at the head of the line. This is where it started to go a bit skewed as this jobs worth thought I had just skipped to the head of the line and proceeded to ignore me and then passed a comment that he was dealing with the people I had passed. I only passed them because I thought my wife was waiting for me to finish the order. She had actually paid already but I did not realise this. It would have been obvious to him that I was with my wife and not barged pass These people to get ahead of such a small group of people. Anyway they had a selection of sausages rolls spread out with one small sign explaining what flavours they were , I did not notice this sign was for all the food in that cabinet and when I asked what was available he put his hand around the cabinet and started tapping the sign while looking away. I wasn’t too sure still that I was on the receiving end of his annoyance until is asked could in BUY a pup cup ( I always offer to pay for a pup cup why should be free ) the response was I don’t make dog food with my machine. What a piece of work this fella is. As all us dog owners know a pup cup is just a squirt of cream in a disposable cup no cooking involved and again I had offered to pay for this. There was no need for this rudeness I don’t care what kind of day he was having but something tells me I’m not the only person on the receiving end of this man’s rudeness. DOG OWNERS BEWARE We walked down Castle Road from the observatory and were very pleased to find this cafe. My husband is vegetarian and he had a lot appealing choices. I had a roast beef sandwich with horseradish and it was excellent - great bread!! It's a lovely little corner, a wonderful resting place. Nice place and very staff.. I dont want to share this but sharing is caring The almond croissant is so addictive and nothing beats theirs. no one has ever done the texture like they do. €3.9 but discount €0.5 if you bring in your own tupperware/place for the food like. sustainability is the way forward! No idea if i had just bad luck but my flat white didn’t taste good. Like there barely was any in it, i ended up throwing half of it. Ice cream was lovely 🥰, looks like shop has nice variety of cakes and baked goods, honeys etc. Will come in another time to try something else Cute little bakery. It's the only place where I can get my Danish Rugbrød (yes, that is how you spell it). healthy is so for your digestion and much healthier than white and, above all, more filling, and a loaf lasts a week ( not in my house, though) . But be careful. They do have some very addictive cakes as well. Great coffee, fantastic 6 staff. A thing is to call them and order in advance if you don't want to go empty-handed. I sat outside on gorgeous patio with plenty of outdoor seating (but no indoor seating). Single stall bathroom for customers. Sink available for anyone to fill up their water bottle - including non-customers. While the was generally here a few months back I think they must have changed their beans or diluted their servings as it seems to have got a bit too weak recently and I enjoy a strong coffee. The sandwiches and croissants are always Today, I picked up a loaf of classic sourdough (ancient grains) from this bakery, and I have to say - it was absolutely fantastic! The crust was beautifully golden and had the perfect crunch, while the inside was light, airy, and wonderfully chewy. The flavor had that perfect balance of subtle tanginess and deep, rich wheat notes that only a well-fermented sourdough can achieve. It was clear that a lot of skill and patience went into making this bread. Whether enjoyed on its own, with butter, or as the base for a great sandwich, this sourdough was simply top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Setting is great … outside seating area was really dirty … 10 minutes with a brush and pan .. Once inside you learned why, as 2 staff on duty were in a bad mood as was indicated by their scowling nature as you were served REALLY FOOD AND . They were not taught the golden rule in customer service .. leave your personal problems outside the door when you come to work. … you are here to be polite to your customers and make their visit a pleasant occasion … after all they are paying your wages.
