It's a small very close to Lund, between a railway track and a road in the distance, but this proximity to civilization makes the number of bird species you can watch there even more amazing. Especially during migration times the place is busy like a petrol station with birds resting and feeding in and around the shallow water ponds. During other times there's less diversity in species but a lot of young animals. Always a beautiful place for recreational walks 😊 Wonderful little nature reserve outside Lund. It is really nice that it is so close to the city there is lots of water, cows in the summer and many different kinds of birds....also two campsites. A big road is unfortunately relative close, so you will hear cars passing by and the train goes right through the nature reserve. Still lovely area. Perfect for a (dog) walk or a run. Its a wetland with a rich birdlife of migrating birds who use it as a stop over and nesting ground all year round. There a walking paths around the and in one of the ponds there is free fishing for perch. and pike and eel (if you are lucky). Open which is nice for walks or a BBQ with friends. The picknick is perfect for that. Besides this nothing too spectacular. I walked from Lund and felt some parts of the road were more beautiful... Not a 5 stars place and not recommend to come here if you don't live around. Normally quite windy because of the open area. Good time to visit when birds are migrating if interested. Generally good for walking when sunny.
