From the moment we stepped into the winery, we felt the warmth and hospitality of Antonio and his team. Their passion for and genuine kindness made our visit truly special. We are quite familiar with Croatian wines, especially Malvazija and Teran, and theirs are truly excellent. But what really surprised me was the Rosé – delicate, fresh, and with more of a white character, absolutely delicious. Their dessert wine, Muškat San Salvatore 2021, also blew us away – a Platinum medal winner at the Decanter World Awards, with its complexity and balanced sweetness. In the end, we couldn’t resist and bought 7 bottles – and honestly, it still wasn’t enough! If you’re lucky, they might even offer you some limited off menu wines, which are spectacular and deserving of their reputation. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic, high-quality and genuine hospitality. The place in Central Istria definitely worth it for spend afternoon, taste splendid and other house products. All recommendations and thanks to hosts. We tasted here in 2023 and came back again in 2024. The are all of good quality and the service from the room staff is professional. I recommend stopping here while visiting Motovun. Not the best picture but the experience was amazing. Learned a lot about overall and Mattea was a perfect host. The best part were definitely the wines, really really great which even my wife who doesn't drink loved! The prices are also fair. They also hosted us very graciously, with a HUGE plate of homemade cold cuts (which were, hands down, the best we've had on this long trip to the Balkans). Thank you! Absolutely wonderful experience! In addition to the being absolutely stellar, we felt like we were at home with the staff as we tried the wines. Honestly, one of my favorite winery experiences Great wines, a nice family business, and lovely staff. The teran was my favorite in all of Istra (and I love teran so I've tried a fair few), and the aromas of the muscat are downright ambrosial. Our guide was Petra, who is very kind and treated us like old friends. Highly recommend! We took a day trip from Icici to Benvenuti Winery. Lovely experience. We tasted 3 different wines. Then, we purchased a bottle for later on during our trip. The lady there helped us with our itinerary for the rest of the day. Another winery in Motovun followed by a late lunch at a restaurant called Old River Restaurant. Everything was perfect. I missed taking any pictures, but it was worth the trip.
