There's a cave with the same name nearby which is also worth visiting. Прекрасно Top Interesting place and mysterious, the path isn't difficult, it takes 1h and a half in one direction A lovely place to visit hiking around Sofia in the summer. This part of Vitosha is a bit far from the city and that's why less people are hiking there even during the weekends. You will need a car to reach one of the villages around (usually Kladnitsa, Bosnek or Chuypetlovo) and you can start your walk from there. It will be useful to have a GPS tracking app with offline options on your phone, since you won't find much mobile connection on the paths around, and there are lots of paths and routes there intertwining and going in different directions. Nice place indeed. However it is very dirty around the spring. Obviously the people visiting are not used to taking their trash with them. Be careful for snakes during the summer. There is a lot of sun and grass on the trail and we saw a snake. The river dries out during the summer so I think the spring is the best season to visit it. Extremely qiet, peaceful, pleasant. You can eat your own food sitting on the benches near the spring. The water from the spring is cold and tasty. Enjoy! Beautiful trail from Bosnek with a great end point, especially in the autumn... A good trail if you want to avoid the usual traffic on the other side of Vitosha. Not steep and also good for youngsters. The spot is wonderful, the mountain itself also, but now in February the walking path to there has a lot of water running down on it, so better be prepared with waterproof shoes and some food in the backpack - about 90 minutes walking up from the village of Bosnek.
