Our eyes fell on the nice old farmers place turned into a restaurant called Scholjegeres Hof. A nice lady welcomed us and we could choose a table outside or inside, due to the weather forecast we decided to take a table inside. Soon we have been asked what we would like to drink, also the menu card was handed. For the drink we took the alkoholfreie Weizenbier. There is a great choice of game versions, after asking it became clear that the owner has a connection with game harvesting. My decision was the roedeer fillet with mushrooms of the season called Pfifferlinge, together with the backed potatoes and a fine sauce. As starter we became a fresh field salad. Which is good and tasty. The Chef shown his skills how to prepare the roedeer fillet, and together with the Pfifferlinge made the dish to a delicious meal. Also the pork chop is juicy and tasty, together with the Pfifferlinge and backed potatoes . To make the dinner complete a small dessert can be chosen, our choice a nice strawberry cream, and a blueberry tiramisu as expected fine balanced and tasteful. We have been here three times now in the last few days with our little dog - once for coffee and twice for food. This is the best Schnitzel I have eaten in Germany. Also an excellent Pfifferling menu. Superb food and also in particular the service - more than helpful on our last evening.
