The fact that it has an identical name with a different memorial structure, situated in the Borisova garden, doesn't help for its popularity. The location – in the district Orlandovtsi, probably is not very helpful either. But the fact is that this is actually better maintained than a lot of the green spaces in the center of the city. The “Fraternal mound” is basically the only public garden in Orlandovtsi (if we don't count the central city cemetery), it's right next to 58th school and it's very green and clean, which makes it the best place for socialising, physical activities and/or relaxation for the people of the area. Even if you are not from the area, but you are tired of the crowded better known city parks, bare in mind that you can reach this one easily and relatively quickly from the center via tram 18. Nice place with some street fitness equipment and a children playground. Needs additional alleys and a bit more cleaning. Needs more work in some areas.
