In the Algarve?I find it unbelievable that even many local are unaware of this excellent track. It's next to the Grand Prix Autodromo de Algarve. Perhaps this is the reason don't know it as it's potentially lost next to the bigger track. The is great place. Really relaxed atmosphere, the dreaded briefing is shall we say brief, something often overdone in the UK. Two tracks which merge into one I believe for competition. Tricky little A which has a hairpin of doom then the excellent B which is both fast and technical. Word of advice though. You need your passport numbers or driving licence to take part as a foreigner. However if you're a petrol head and want to sample whilst on vacation this is a great place to do it. Minis, with v-max ~25km/h, may also be rented for such between 135-155cm of height. Absolutely Disgraceful Service – Stay FAR Away! I don’t even know where to start with how horrible the was at Kartodrom International Algarve. I called them on October 6th at 4:00 PM to ask if were available for my group. We had already traveled a long distance, and I specifically called to make sure we wouldn’t waste our driving over. The person on the phone casually told me, “Yes, come over, we have karts.” So, we took over an hour out of our day, driving all the way there in faith, expecting a fun time. What a MASSIVE disappointment. When we arrived, we were greeted by the most disinterested, unhelpful, and rude I’ve ever encountered. The girl behind the counter barely looked at us and immediately said, “We’re full.” No apology, no explanation, no solution – just a cold, robotic statement, as if we were bothering her by even showing up. When I explained that I had called ahead and was told we could come, she shrugged, couldn’t care less, and repeated, “We’re full.” That’s it. No attempt to accommodate us, no offer to book us for a later time, no customer service whatsoever. I am absolutely appalled at how this place is run. How is it even acceptable to treat paying customers with such blatant disregard? We drove for over an hour only to be turned away with zero effort to make things right. What kind of business sends away without even trying to help? The lack of professionalism here is astounding. The is either poorly trained or just doesn’t give a damn about their job or the who come to spend money at their establishment. This was a complete waste of our time, energy, and money. They should be ashamed of how they handle their operations. If you’re full, INFORM over the phone! Don’t make them all the way there just to be turned away like it’s no big deal. This place is a joke. They clearly have no respect for their customers and no concept of how to run a business. Avoid this place like the plague! There are far better places to go if you want to kart, where at least they will have the decency to treat you with respect and not make you feel like your presence is an inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and never step foot in this disaster of a track. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. ZERO STARS if that were an option. Excellent experience. Husband did the arrive and (2x15min) session which works out at doing 15 mins on the 2 different circuits they have, made by splitting up the main into an “A” and “B” circuit. The 2 tracks are different enough to make it interesting with “A” being more technical and “B” being more open with a very long flat out section. Karts are modern and fast enough for rental racing. He also took the option to buy the digital photos (€10 cash) that were captured during the sessions. Would highly recommend. What an absolutely fantastic experience! The are in excellent condition, the is perfectly maintained, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re part of something special. The layout of the circuit is world-class – fast straights, challenging corners, and plenty of opportunities to push your limits. Every lap feels exciting, and the adrenaline rush stays with you long after you leave the track. A big thank you goes out to the entire for making everything smooth and enjoyable. And of course, to my family – sharing this moment with you made it even more memorable. It was a pleasure to try in Portimao for the first time😍 was helpful and speaks English very well. €46,- for 2x15 minutes is quite steep but the is very nice and the are in condition. We are very happy and might go another time. Only thing might be that the speed differences where very big. We are a bit experienced but there also where a lot of drivers that did it for the first time. I found that interesting and adding to the fun but if you want to really race it might be a downside. I was on vacation in Portugal and wanted to go karting. However, I didn't have the best experience. First, you have to register with all your personal information (including your home address and passport number). I don't know why they need this personal information. After buying a ticket, you have to go to the other end of the building and take the stairs to the kart track. There you wait until it's your turn. Only then does a sign appear indicating that the is divided into two smaller sections. I don't know how they decide who gets to on each of these tracks. Luckily, I was allowed to on the slightly longer track. However, I found it quite expensive to pay €35 for 15 minutes for a shorter than expected. I hadn't seen any indication beforehand that the was only half the size I thought. Generally, there's very little information posted. At least helmet rental is free, and there are free lockers next to the helmets. The were in normal condition and in working order. At the end, you'll get a free printout of the timesheet. Don't forget to remember your kart's number! If you want to spend the money and race your friends go for it, I will do it for a cheaper price on a longer back home. time, receptionist was so lovely. What a superb go-karting for my kids. The were very very friendly and very welcoming which is really when you have kids that may be apprehensive about the whole as this was their first racing. As we had another appointment somewhere else the same day, the were able to slot the kids in quickly. This is a fantastic all round and looks so professional. Unbelievable afternoon at the track. This circuit isn’t just the best in Portugal but one of the best in Europe. Booked 1 hours worth of that was split into 4 x 15 minute sessions. The at the circuit were all very helpful. The were quick and fun to drive. If you’re looking for an afternoon of fun for an hour or three this is the best on the Algarve. 5/5 We called the venue on Monday 17th February to ask how to book and timings etc. We asked if they were open today, i.e. Tuesday 18th February and they said yes, just turn up. We are in holiday in Sagres, 45 minutes away and my son is a enthusiast so we got up early and headed off arriving just after 9am when they opened. We went into reception only to be told they had a private event on today so we couldn't book a kart. Why oh why did they not say that yesterday? One wasted 90 minute round trip and a VERY disappointed 16 year old who has been looking forward to this since before we arrived. They need to sort this stuff out. A real mess. We made sure to call four times to confirm that the would be open despite the weather conditions. Each time, we were assured that everything would be fine if we arrived at 4:30 PM. So we arranged the trip specifically (15 people, one hour each way by taxi)… only to be turned away upon arrival. The reason? An international tournament starting at 5 PM. This was never mentioned during any of our calls. Not a single heads-up, not even a hint. Completely unacceptable: total disorganization, zero communication, and clear disregard for visitors. The management shows a shocking lack of professionalism and respect. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind — stay away. Two excitable 10 year old children used the (Track A - as recommended by : slightly easier) for 2 15 minutes sessions. They did the Mini cart first lap and then the slightly bigger engine size carts on second lap. They both absolutely loved it. The lady on reception was very courteous and kind to us. We asked to see the first - so they guided us to where we could go and view the tracks. at the check-in point were so so amazingly helpful ! Young gentleman (sorry didn’t get his name) was very engaging and asked about how confident the children were driving etc and then made his recommendations (Track A and do to Mini Kart first and then go onto bigger engine size). It was quite - only a few waiting for minimal amount of and being able to get onto the tracks. We actually arrived earlier than planned and knew that was closed - ended up going to the Resort /hotel and asked front desk if we can use the coffee shop/ restaurant. And the there were friendly and welcomed us. We had a coffee / refreshments and then drove down to the Go for a 2 pm start. Overall - great and would definitely go again ! Thank you ever so much. Despite that, when we arrived, we were bluntly refused the race without any valid explanation. The was rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. There was zero customer service, no apology, nothing. It’s honestly shocking to be treated this way after confirming over the phone. If you’re looking for a fun, well-organized – go somewhere else. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.
