Drinks, sweets, draft beer and some hot meals. Nothing special, overpriced, but a very welcome break during a nice hike. It's the only hut in Slovak Paradise NP. The prices are typical for such places, so high, but the dishes are tasty. With the high prices of food and drinks the toilets should be clean and neat, but they're not! very basic place that does barely please and does surely not surprise. They are however the only and thus very essential place to provide refreshment and shelter in the heart of the Slicensky Raj Park so once you get up here you will be thankful for the little they have. We stopped off here for some food and drinks during our hikes. Staff were friendly and there was great outdoor seating and views. Problem is that even though this place is easily accessible by car, it hasnt changed much since previous century. Except the prices. Substandard fastfood. Dont expect much. We stopped off here for some drinks and a break during one of our hikes. Staff were super friendly and there was great outdoor seating and views. The only plus is it is a convenient stop when hikin in the area of Slovensky Raj. You can refresh yourself a decent beer or a soft drink. I would not mind the higher price as it is indeed in the middle of nowhere. Also queues and crowds are quite expected. If you order food however, things get problematic. Even though the selection is quite limited (fried fast food, hot dog), it takes really really long. We ordered one hot dog suggesting a large sausage ("cigaro") and waited 30+ minutes to receive a small one which did not even go halfway through the roll. Also, I feel sorry for anyone working here as they seem to be trying but the crowd is too big and the kitchen too slow for it. We tried to order some food but the bartender girls could not understand very basic english words, so instead of a hot dog and fried cheese we got simple fries with mayonnaise, and it also took a lot of time. The place itself definitely needs a renovation. Sadly there’s no other restaurant nearby, which is sad, since this is a central place of the Slovakian Paradise. We visited this place twice. During our hiking holiday in "Slovenský Raj" it was often quite difficult not to end up here (our hikes were based around Podlesok), given that there weren't many other mountain huts nearby to eat instead. The waiters/waitresses were really nice, cheerful and had no problem with filling our water bottles for free. The toilets were also very well maintained, which can be a bit tricky when visiting these sort of places. However, the food on the other side, was lacking. Prices were significantly inconsistent with the quality of the given meals. Everything felt defrosted, which i suppose isn't unusual in mountain huts, but the food tasted especially bland and boring. Small portions, lack of bread (we had to wait 15 minutes for bread that went with the sausages we ordered...) and some sauces tasted as if they were diluted (which is even more concerning considering the fact that we had to pay extra 50 cents for one sauce). We were a large group of people, ordered almost every meal on the menu (if not all of them), and none seemed to have added up to its price. It was very busy when we were there. Incredibly slow service we waited an over an hour our food. Sadly it was either taken by someone else or never came out. When we asked they told us they didn't trust us. Poor service for what could be a lovely place. Eventually convinced them to remake our order, otherwise food is average but nice after a long day in the hills.
