It looked OK in general, renovated and there was playground for the young ones. It seemed that the restaurant is the top thing there - may check it next time. The hut can be reached by car but would be better with an SUV as the road is in bad condition. Otherwise there is a spot 500m away at the bus stop. Dupevitsa summit is 1h walk from the hut and has a really good view over Sofia Very good place to go for a walk and relax. It is usualy crowded during the weekends in the summertime, but if you have time during the work week it should be calm and peaceful. Several trails start here, the terrain is easy and suitable for families with kids. There is a large free near the bus stop, so finding a spot isn't normally an issue. Lovely place, close to the natue.Quiet and peaceful.Stayed here for night in a small and cozy room.Lovely hosts, good and drinks available onsite.Safe for motorcycle. Not sure about the Hut and sleeping conditions, etc. However, during the day there is delicious food and craft beer. Easy walk to the local peak Dupevitza and perfect bike trail for mountain bike. All a sunny meadow just infront of the hut. There is also a huge lot below the hut and also electric public mini bus to the same parking. Great place for sleighs during winter! Great for kids in the snow, summer is also very nice, good hiking can be done in the area! The surroundings are great in snowy weather. Lots of hills, ideal for sleigh riding with kids. The hut itself offers the usual: poorly maintained, but warm and cozy and meals are good enough, so you can skip preparing lunch boxes. Beautiful place for daily relax in the forest/mountain. Despite “Owners’” allegations of venue being shut down it is still running and offers same great service.
