You can and return along the lake, but it is recommended to do the entire loop. What a nice circuit! Very easy and beautiful. Water is so blue! You can find a lot of places to swim. Splendid views which you can have all to yourself if you come earlier in the morning, at around 9am. Very nice around Wolfgangsee with a lot of places where to go into the water itself. The further part of the Path was walking us around some factory, so this part was not that nice. It took us approximately 1 hour by slower speed.
