We were at this cafe on Wednesday on 9.08.23 . A waiter , Leo immediately impressed me with his friendliness and extraordinary sweet genuine smile. It’s so rare nowadays to see someone like that. I complimented his little tie on his collar and asked him if it’s special Austrian style, Leo answered that he just likes it and it’s not part of the uniform. Someone trying to dress up for work, bring gentle and really to people, I felt real respect. It looked like Leo really likes his job, and he is doing it excellent. The drinks and cake were served fast and beautifully. The cake was really delicious. Leo was attentive to us, we had a chat . Thank you for your service! We had really pleasant experience. The atmosphere is really great. Amazing view. Not very pricey. I highly recommend. Enjoyed my meal and coffee very much! Good service! Excellent views! Would come back. Delicilous pastries with some flavours I have not seen before. You can sit right by the lake and enjoy some tea or coffee with yummy cakes. They are not too sweet and our carrot cake was really fluffy. A shame we were there only for a stop, I would love to come back for more. It's a cute Cafe in the Center of Gmunden facing the waters. Gorgeous view although it was a bit foggy when I visited. For the food, I had chicken schnitzel and spaghetti unfortunately I haven't took any photos but it was delish. The torte was a little different, don't get me wrong it was heaven in every bite. Toilet was clean and well maintained Unfortunately I left my scarf there and I haven't went back to ask since I was rushing to catch my train back to linz. I would not recommend the cakes, they are too simple and dry. Maybe some other candy. Cappuccino is served in very small cups. Literally two sips. The view of the lake is beautiful. The pastry shop needs to be renovated, time seems to have stopped. The atmosphere is boring, you will start yawning. One woman who was standing at the bar where you order cookies, was very rude and told my little daughter in a harsh voice not to touch the honey heart. My child burst into tears It was really nice, at the lake of gmunden, must try , i will come back next summer 👍👍👏👏 Cakes are not special - rather ok. Waiter did the opposite of almost everything that a waiter should do; looked annoyed, no smile, not much respect in how he was talking to us, did not care for our wishes. Air inside smelled of sweat, view outside is nice. We were there (in restaurant Cafe Konditorei Baumgartner) after cycle trip and we wanted to spend time near the beatiful lake which is dominant of this area. We got inside and waitrist offered place to us which had the beatiful view on the lake. After few minutes, she asked us about drinks and meal which we wanted to order. We asked her for english menu, but they unfortunately didn't have it. We ordered apple juice, spagetti bognese and meal which I can compair to pizza with arugula. First surprise was juice which was mixed with the water, but we had still gut mood and expectations. After next few minutes waitrist brought spagetti bolognese but without parmesan to my wife and for me "pizza" with arugula, without arugula. When I asked her where is arugula (rucola, rocket) , she said to me "we don't have it already" and offered me some vegetable salat. Finish of this experience was paying the bill. She offered me paying by card, which was suitable for me, but after paying she gave me just confirmation of payment but without bill. When I asked her for it, she said me, she can't give it to me because the terminal has no conection with restaurant and she can't print it for me. This was story of our dinner in Conditorei Baumgartner restaurant. I can't to add nothing more. It's sad that first look of the restaurant is nice, but second one is misserable.
