We rented from here on a bit of a whim and they were great. Very responsive to emails (I had booked more child seats than we had children to fill) and very kind when we checked in. We picked up shortly after they opened on a Saturday so it did feel a bit rushed. There was a lot going on and we didn't get a chance to ask many questions about our route. That said, they were kind, helpful, and there when we needed them. Our return was much more chatty and friendly (they were obviously less busy!). We took our down to Muckross, visited the living history farm, and then continued around the lake for snacks at Cafe Dinis. The last stretch back involved ~2km on the narrow L road but we did fine. The only thing I certainly did not like, was that they required me to let them hold a personal ID for the week. I objected as in my opinion this is illegal practice. I certainly would not give them my passport but I had to hand over my drivers license in order to get the bikes. The man in the store said it was stated in the conditions, that I have agreed to. Once home, I checked their full website and booking emails and confirmation but was not able to find any such terms or conditions. Although we were supposed to return the at the end of the 5th day, they had no issues if we brought them back the day after around 11 o'clock (we had some time left to cycle in the neighbourhood). We biked to Ross Castle, took the ferry to Gap of Dunloe, and biked back to the shop with our family of 4. We rented for 3 days to cycle the Ring of Kerry and had a great experience. They set us up with everything we needed to have a successful trip and we only had 1 minor mechanical issue when shifting that was easily resolved. Would definitely recommend renting here. This was the best day of our holiday. Rented e-bikes and rode around Muckross lake. Helpful friendly man at the shop. So patient and kind to my elderly dad.
