Quiet location. Dated rooms could use a few simple improvements such as hooks for towels, wall shelfs with lamp beside the twin beds (space for bedside table is occupied by a closet). The soap dispenser was held in place with duct tape and curtain pole just fell off when trying to close the curtains, no ventilation in bathroom. Quite pricy for what you get. We stayed at the campsite as a group, so can't rate the rooms. It's great for the price (5€ per person) and offers a toilet and shower. The staff is nice. They also have a small shop with a variety of products you might need. Absolutely incredible! If you are climbing, this is the perfect environment to add to the experience! We had arrived exhausted and soaked after climbing Carrountoohil to a rustic spot where we were met with small town hospitality. Immediately we were told to take off the wet trekking gear so he could hang it in the “drying room” for us. Then we were served an incredible hot meal in their restaurant and up to the room which was modern and fantastic. The whole place caters to the climber’s experience with photos around etc. Great bar on site where locals gather to chat. Just fantastic!
